The big headline this week - the UK's first carbon capture pilot on EfW facility goes live
In our first-ever EfW Net news bulletin, we covered the race to become the UK’s first carbon capture pilot in the UK. But who was going to get there first? Well, now we have the answer, as enfinium has announced that the pilot in its Ferrybridge site in West Yorkshire is live.

The LGA warns of "enormous costs" of ETS for local councils
Research by the Local Government Association (LGA) has found that EfW’s inclusion in the Emissions Trading Scheme could cost local authorities billions over the next decade. They are now calling for the government to “hold industry responsible” for the costs.
And to finish, an exciting achievement: An EfW facility has announced its recovered 1 million megawatts of energy
The facility in Worcestershire processes around 210,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste each year which, since its opening, has now created 1 million megawatts of energy from waste.
