The upcoming conference, now in its 16th year, will explore the role and function of EfW in a low carbon, circular economy.

The programme looks at the translation of policy into capacity and volume and questions the future volatility of gate fees.

Highlights will include a Leader’s Panel which will feature Cogen CEO Ian Brooking, Viridor MD Phil Piddington and Foresight Group partner Chris Holmes.

This will provide unique coverage of the EfW market from smaller merchant plants to large Development Consent Order (DCO)-approved projects to find out where the industry is heading and what the opportunities are.

Speakers will also discuss how to extend the life of existing plants, carbon capture and storage technology and the potential of waste to fuel projects.

Ian Crummack, MD of Cobalt Energy, will once again bring his wealth of experience as conference chair.

Julia Pugh-Cook, event organiser, said: “The event brings together key people from across the sector to explore the latest advances and examine the challenges facing the sector.

"It provides a uniquely valuable two days of information, networking and opportunities to further your business activities.”

The Energy from Waste Conference will take place on 4-5 March 2020 at America Square Conference & Event Centre, London.
