Encyclis has announced the start of a formal process to transfer its current operations and maintenance contract for the Dublin Waste to Energy facility to its technology partner, Kanadevia Inova. Encyclis will continue to own 50% of the Dublin facility alongside its co-shareholders.

Encyclis was the original developer of the Dublin facility and has managed the operation and maintenance of the plant since it became active in 2017. Kanadevia Inova was the plant's principal contractor for design, build and commissioning.

The new agreement will see the operation and maintenance of the facility pass to Kanadevia Inova, alongside the signing of a parallel contract to upgrade the plant, enabling it to increase capacity to process residual waste, from 90,000 to 690,000 tonnes per year.

Formal completion of the contract is expected to take place in the summer.

Encyclis CEO Owen Michaelson said:

We have a long-standing strategic relationship with Kanadevia Inova, which has been responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of three of our operational plants and is currently working on a fourth. As a company, Encyclis is committed to continuous optimisation to deliver outstanding performance across our portfolio now and in the future.

Bruno-Frederic Baudoin, CEO at Kanadevia Inova, said:

“We are delighted to kick-start the process of transferring the O&M Dublin team and their outstanding value-added expertise into our operations in Europe. We are similarly very excited to start implementing an upgrade solution that ensures a plant we originally designed and built to handle 600,000 tonnes of waste can safely and reliably operate at 15% higher capacity. Kanadevia Inova’s ability to increase plant performance at a fraction of the corresponding investment for a new-build and provide a guarantee through the O&M contract is a game-changer in the industry.”

Is there a go live date in 2025 for the processing plant for APCr & IBA from the Eycyclis Energy from Waste Plant. It is scheduled to commence operations in 2025 but I can't find a commissioning date?
