In this short interview, Niall Bolster shares his perspective on how operators can respond to the growing impact of ETS. With improved visibility of fossil carbon content in residual and municipal solid waste, facilities can make more informed decisions, whether that’s recovery, acceptance strategies or targeted mitigation.

Rather than viewing ETS solely as an added cost, Niall explores how better data and evolving sortation technologies could help operators reduce carbon exposure while unlocking greater value from existing waste streams.

Niall will also be joining the panel session “ETS – cost pass through: how will costs be allocated, where are the risks and what are the realistic mitigations?” at the Energy from Waste Conference London on Wednesday 4 March, 4:10pm – 4:50pm
